Local authorities, representatives from analysis laboratories and field operators attended the meeting. Mr. Gabriele Casini, Marketing Manager of FoodLab Division, and Mr. Claudio Vignoli, in charge of the OxiTester foreign sales network, represented CDR.
Mr. Casini highlighted the main parameters for determining olive oil quality levels and how to improve product quality standards through a correct analysis during the various phases of oil production; from harvest to bottling.

The encounter continued with analytical tests done using the OxiTester on locally produced oils. The practical trials aroused great interest among participants thanks to the potential proven by the testing instrument. In particular, it was shown that CDR systems are incredibly easy to use, so that tests can be carried out anywhere, anytime, both during production phases and at the time of sale, as well as on stocked products to verify their state of conservation.

All of the olive oil produced in Libya is currently marketed solely in Libya. Better quality control is therefore important to enhance the product destined to Libyan market and crucial for product export.
