WineLab
WineLab: the Revolution in Wine Analysis
Fast, Simple and Reliable wine testing system
WineLab is a simple and reliable wine testing system that is able to determine the amount of acetic acid, lactic acid, malic acid, free and total sulfur dioxide, anthocyanins, polyphenols, glucose and fructose in just a few minutes and without sample pre-treatment.

Thanks to its simplicity, WineLab can be used directly in wineries during all the wine processing phases to control the degree of ripening of grapes, the progress of fermentation and the "health" of the wine during aging.
System overview
WineLab is constituted by:
- A thermostated analyzer based on photometric technology that uses solid-state emitters
- A kit with disposable pre-vialed reagents with a lox toxicity, defined by the research laboratories of CDR
- Pipettes with fixed calibration to optimize the collection of samples
- Print Manager: a software that enables the analyzer to be connected to a PC for the purpose of storing and printing the results of tests
- User's manual
- Illustrated data sheets
WineLab is supplied with a 3 year warranty.

Features & benefits
Fast results
Test results are available in just a few minutes:
- Volatile Acidity (Acetic acid): about 10 minutes
- Free sulfur dioxide (Free SO2): about 3 minutes
- Total sulfur dioxide (Total SO2): about 1 minutes
- Malic acid: about 8 minutes
- Lactic acid: about 5 minutes
- Alcohol: about 5 minutes
- Reducing sugars (glucose and fructose) in wine and must: about 8 minutes
- Anthocyanins in wine and must: about 1 minute CDR's must extraction procedure is simpler and faster (with an extraction time of 1 hour) as compared to Glories' method (approximately 8 hours)
- Polyphenols: about 5 minutes
- Colour intensity and tonality (photometric measurement at 420, 520, 620 nm): about 1 minute
To further reduce testing times, it is also possible to run tests on several samples at a time.
Simple to use
Test methods are simpler as compared to official ones and require just a few operations:
1. Adding the exact sample volume to the pre-vialed reagent
2. Following the displayed instructions
3. Waiting for the system to automatically calculate, display and print the results
Upon completing the test, it is not necessary to wash containers and test instrumentation and clean quartz cuvettes.
The device is supplied pre-calibrated and does not therefore require long calibration procedures.
It is even possible to run one test only without performing start-up procedures
Reliable
This measuring system owes its sensitivity, accuracy and reliability to the photometric technology based on LED luminous sources.
It does not require regular maintenance operations as with standard photometers with tungsten filament lamps.
Reading and incubation cells are thermostated at 37°C.
The system can be aligned to reference standards and samples with known titre.
Compliant with reference methods
Comparative studies carried out in primary laboratories specialized in wine testing have confirmed that the accuracy of WineLab's analytical results matches that of reference methods, though WineLab is simpler to use and produces faster results.
WineLab has been developed, designed and manufactured by CDR s.r.l. using FoodLab Method
