Home » Telematics systemsCDR designs and manufactures systems for the automatic collection of motorway tolls and issue of tickets. The systems developed are able to read the most common types of tickets, cards and badges:
- Barcodes
- Standard ISO magnetic bands like those used on credit and ATM cards
- Standard TRANSAC magnetic bands like those used on Viacards (cards for the payment of motorway tolls) and motorway tickets
- Proximity cards
- The most common types of smart cards
CDR has specifically developed, designed and manufactured devices for the automatic collection of motorway tolls and the issue of tickets, like COMPUCARD and COMPUCARD-I, for companies managing motorways. These systems, which are the first ones to digitally process signals, are also able to provide complete diagnostic information on the toll stations and payments methods used (badges and tickets compliant with ISO and TRANSAC standards).
In addition to these systems, CDR has also developed special applications like those for the issue of pre-magnetized tickets, high speed ticket readers/distributors, and systems for the analysis of the magnetic oxides that are usually employed to manufacture tickets and cards like OMNIMAG.
Know how
The development of automatic toll collection systems is based on a know how acquired in over twenty-five years through the design of telematics systems. CDR has internally designed and manufactured the ticket and magnetic card processing systems installed in most of the toll stations along the Italian motorways.
Having directly designed and developed all its products, CDR has the know-how required to provide customers with all the necessary assistance in terms of technical support, spare parts, changes and additional implementations.
CDR – A technological partner
The know-how acquired in the field of motorways and the strong focus on study and research activities enable CDR to assist customers in the development, design and manufacture innovative telematics systems. CDR is in fact able to develop OEM units and customize them according to specific needs like those recently designed on behalf of FAAC parking for the management of parking areas.
